Accessibility statement

FedXchange should work for everyone, including people who use assistive technology.

Effective October 3, 2026

Our goal

We aim for this site and the FedXchange app to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which is also the standard Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act points to.

What we do

  • Pages use headings, landmarks, and labels that screen readers can follow, with a link to skip to the main content.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • Text and controls are designed for strong color contrast, and color is never the only way information is shown.
  • This site needs no JavaScript, and pages reflow on small screens and when zoomed.
  • Motion is kept to a minimum and respects your system's reduced-motion setting.

Known issues

We don't know of any barriers right now. We check pages as they change, and some parts of the app are still being built.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on FedXchange is hard to use with your setup, tell us through the contact form. Say which page and what happened, and we'll reply by email. If the form itself is the problem, we want to know that too; a colleague can send it for you.
