The provider's description
OCLC is a nonprofit global library organization. Through OCLC, member libraries cooperatively produce and maintain WorldCat, the world’s most comprehensive global network of data about library collections and services. Libraries gain efficiencies through OCLC’s WorldShare Management Services (WMS), a cloud-based library services platform. With WorldCat as its foundation, WMS allows library staff to draw on the collaborative data and work of libraries worldwide for more efficient workflows, and to better manage and access resources in all formats. WMS offers all the applications needed to manage a library, including acquisitions, circulation, resource sharing, metadata and electronic resource management. WMS also offers analytics, including custom reports and visualizations, and a discovery service for library users. Products included in the WorldShare platform:
* Library management systems: Worldshare Acquisitions, Worldshare Circulation, Worldshare Report Designer, EZproxy * Cataloging/metadata services: Worldshare Collection Manager, Worldshare Record Manager, Worldshare Knowledgebase. * Resource sharing services: WorldShare ILL and Tipasa. * Discovery services: WorldCat Discovery * Digital collection management services: CONTENTdm v2
