The provider's description

LambdaX is a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform operated by Cognitus, an IBM company. It supports the creation, negotiation, approval, execution, storage, management, and analysis of contractual agreements within a defined authorization boundary.

The system provides centralized contract authoring, workflow automation, document management, AI-assisted processing, reporting, and analytics. LambdaX serves government agencies, contractors, and enterprise organizations that require controlled access to contract data and structured lifecycle governance. All processing described below occurs within the system's authorization boundary, and connections to external systems and services occur only through controlled, documented interconnections.

LambdaX has achieved FedRAMP Moderate Readiness and is operated in accordance with the applicable FedRAMP Moderate security control baseline. FedRAMP 20x alignment is currently on the product roadmap.

LambdaX supports deployment in secure cloud and customer-managed on-premises environments, with security controls aligned to organizational compliance requirements.

Key Features 1. Contract intake automation AI extracts contract fields, clauses, CLINs, and delivery terms from procurement documents, reducing manual effort while improving data consistency and traceability.

2. Secure cloud & on-premises deployment Supports deployment in secure cloud and customer-managed on-premises environments, including architectures designed to meet FedRAMP Moderate requirements.

3. FAR / DFARS compliance automation Automatically classifies clauses, validates flowdowns, and maintains auditable records to support FAR and DFARS compliance.

4. ERP synchronization & revenue integrity Synchronizes contract, pricing, billing, and financial data with enterprise ERP systems to reduce manual processing and improve financial accuracy.

Functional Capabilities Within Authorization Boundary 1. Contract Authoring and Assembly The system supports drafting and assembly of contracts using structured templates, configurable datasets, and a centralized clause and master-data library. Users create, edit, and version contract documents within the application using a built-in editor.

2. Negotiation and Collaboration The system enables controlled internal and external collaboration, including multi-user editing, version tracking, redlining, side-by-side version comparison, and maintenance of audit history for document changes. All collaborators, including external parties, access the system through authenticated, role-scoped sessions within the authorization boundary.

3. Approval Workflows LambdaX includes configurable, multi-stage workflow routing for contract review, modification, and approval, with task assignment, reassignment/delegation, and threaded comments. Workflow actions are logged and tracked within the system.

4. Execution Support The platform supports integration with electronic signature services through controlled interconnections for execution of agreements. Executed contracts are stored within the system repository.

5. Centralized Repository and Search The system maintains a centralized contract repository with metadata tagging and search across metadata, clause text, and document content, together with structured formatting.

6. Obligation and Milestone Tracking The system enables tracking of key contract dates, milestones, deliverables, and obligations.

7. Analytics and Reporting LambdaX provides reporting and analytical capabilities on contract data, including configurable dashboard widgets, structured risk indicators, and performance metrics.

8. AI-Assisted Processing LambdaX provides AI-assisted document field and clause extraction, confidence scoring, clause classification, identification of non-standard contractual language, and configurable risk assessment based on defined business rules. AI and embedding requests are processed through a centralized AI Gateway that provides usage metering
